I know I'm likely very late to jump on this bandwagon but I have become completely hooked on the pioneer woman this week. Her blog/website has useful things like recipes and decorating tips, but what I've become hooked on are her stories. Specifically her saga entitled, "From Black Heels to Tractor Wheels". I started reading to see if I could figure out where exactly in Oklahoma she was (side note: I know that sounds stalkerish, but I only wanted to know in case I happened to know someone from there or maybe had even been near her ranch during my time in Norman...not because I actually wanted to actually go there or find her). Then before I knew it I was sucked into this story of how she met her husband "Marlboro Man" and her transition to learning life in the country instead of the city. I'm slightly embarrassed to make this confession because it's basically a romance novel which isn't me at all, but I admit I got pulled in. It's a sweet story and she is an excellent writer with some hilarious stories nicely tied in with all the romance stuff. A warning though - it is a long story, it took me all week to get through it. The link to the section with the story is here if you're interested and have some reading time.
